due the lack of visitors for the general discussion forum, the grateful dead forum (which is constantly being looked at)has officially taken general discussions place. you can talk about anything here from now on.

Oh wonderful. Now it'll just be mayhem around here. Why can't you meddling fools leave things alone?

Or, you could revisit the General forum for your general topics, and leave this one to Dead-related content?

PS I removed your duplicate post for you.

Diana - the fact that this forum is a free for all is what makes it so attractive to the anarchistic freethinkers amongst us. I just love it that I really have no idea from one one moment to the next what my fellow posters are going to throw into the mix. The Grateful Dead is our common touchstone, the thing that brought us together - and yes, from time to time, we remember that that's what we're here to talk about - but we also celebrate the fact that we're so much more than that, that we have a huge diversity of opinion and experience to share. So thanks for giving us the space to do that - and thanks for being there to help things go along in a (reasonably) civilised manner.

Cliff, sweetheart, do you really want to reopen old wounds?
Do you want this place to be as dull as 'General website discussion'? Why, we'd never hear of your fishing exploits or your epicurean meetings with fellow posters. I don't know about you - but I feel that would be a loss.

Hmm, I am gone for an hour and all Hell breaks loose.

Do we now have official sanction to continue as we have been?

Your right, of course, this place would not be the same without the offal recipes and references to medieval warfare either ;)

Well i'm not exactly new here but i am a lazy cunny monger and haven't posted before, but it seems to me that this is probably the last place in america where you can find free speech, so fishing, offal recipes or what ever shouldn't be dissed as we say in MP89 never mock a fellow member for his / her beliefs.

I've been to see one of their shows in 'Frisco in support of the debut album "Assume The Position". Too bad they didn't have the staying power that folks were hoping for.

Caveat: Provided that such posts deal exclusively with general discussions about the Grateful Dead and closely associated entities.

"closely associated entities"

That could be tricky, depending on the definition.

I would never be purposefully tricky or vague and ambiguous when drafting terms or provisions. You make me seem like some kind of sleazy attorney. I am deeply offended.

If we are willing to accept and include any posting by a certain Scotsman here as belonging to the classification of "closely associated entities", then I'm all for it.

Speak of the devil and he pops up right under me (leave it alone). Still willing to include him?
